Astoria Zoo is a new micro-zoo currently in development on Oregon’s north coast. Our 5‑acre Phase 1 campus is slated to open in Summer 2027, offering encounters with rescued and responsibly sourced wildlife while serving the coastal communities of Oregon and Washington.

Mission & Vision

Our mission is to provide intimate wildlife experiences, uphold exceptional animal welfare, and serve as a permanent sanctuary for surrendered parrots and other non‑releasable wildlife—all while building toward Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) accreditation standards.

Your Future Visit

Guests will stroll a shaded 8‑foot pathway that loops through immersive habitats, pause for ocean‑view picnics, and enjoy up‑close encounters guided by expert keepers.

The entire experience is designed to be wheelchair‑friendly and completed in about two hours—perfect for an Astoria day‑trip itinerary.
